JA! Wir haben es getan Die meistgestellte Frage in Bezug auf unsere Hochzeit war: “Wer macht eigentlich EURE Hochzeitsfotos?” Wir waren froh, die richtige Entscheidung getroffen zu haben und unseren geschätzten Kollegen Matthias Richter mit auf die Insel nach Anna Maria Island in Florida genommen zu haben. Eine wunderbare Location, ein traumhafter Ort mit viel Sonne waren genau das, was wir uns gewünscht hatten, wenn man im November heiratet. Matthias hat uns eine wunderbare Reportage erstellt. Ihr könnt sie in der Galerie bei ihm sehen, oder aktuell auch einige Fotos im Blog. Danke an Dich Matthias und auch an Deine Frau, dass Ihr für uns diese tollen Momente festgehalten habt!!!

Natürlich konnten wir es uns nicht nehmen lassen auch selbst ein paar Fotos zu machen, nachdem wir 2 Tage nach der Hochzeit noch mal mit Matthias los waren. Zusammen mit den weltbesten Freunden und Trauzeugen Andrea & André sind wir anschließend noch mal über die Insel gefahren und haben Portraits gemacht. André machte einen guten Job am Auslöser der Kamera, die auf ein Stativ gestellt war.

Sanne´s Kleid wurde von Rike Winterberg designed. Falls Ihr in Hannover seid besucht unbedingt ihren neuen Shop in der Altstadt!

YES I DO! We did it The most asked question regarding our wedding was:”Who will take YOUR wedding pictures?” We were glad to made the right decision and took our greatly appreciated colleague Matthias Richter with us to Anna Maria Island in Florida. A wonderful location an awesome place with lot of sun was that what we wanted to get meried in November. Matthias did a gret coverage of our wedding. You can watch it in his gallery or now on his blog. Thanks to you and your wife that you captured this really great moments for us!

Certainly we couldn´t resist to take some pictures of our own after we did some pictures with Matthias 2 days after the wedding. Togehter with the world´s best friends Andrea (also the bridesmaid) and André (the best man) we drove arounf the island and captured some portaits. We had so much fun out there! André did a great job on pressing the shutter of my camera which was mounted on a tripod.

Sanne´s dress was designed by Rike Winterberg. If you´re in Hannover you have to visit her new store!

Bevor die Hochzeitssaison so richtig los geht, wühle ich gerade in der Fotos des USA-Trips des letzten Jahres. Es fällt schwer sich zu entscheiden, welche der Fotos an unsere Wände kommen. Ich denke diese hier vom Upper Antelope Canyon in den USA haben sehr sehr gute Chancen.

Right before the wedding seasons starts I´m digging into our pictures from our trip to the US in the last year. It´s so hard to decide which pictures should be placed on our walls. I guess this pictures from the Upper Antelope Canyon have a really good chance.

Bevor es richtig in die Hochzeits-Saison geht, habe ich noch einige Portraitfotos, die ich mit Susan in Downtown Orlando gemacht habe. Susan arbeitet im World Showcase im EPCOT-Center in Orlando. Für sie war es das erste Shooting und sie hat sich sehr gut geschlagen! Wer traut sich in Hannover vor die Kamera? Fragt gleich nach einem freien Termin.

Just before the Wedding season starts I have a bunch of portraits I did with Susan in Orlando downtown. Susan works at World Showcase at EPCOT. So visit the German “Oktoberfest” to see her live. It was her first shooting ever and she did really great!

Amerika – Land der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten!
Kaum ein Ort bestätigt das so wie Key West in Florida. Alles ist möglich und es ist der Beweis dafür, das Heiraten mit der Liebe zu tun hat und nicht mit dem Alter!
Wir hatten die Möglicheit am Valentinstag am Strand von Key West die Zeremonie von Cathy & Lee zu fotografieren. Eine sehr emotionale Hochzeit und ich war froh dabei sein zu dürfen.

America – The land of opportunity!
Not many other city than Key West in Florida confirm that. Everything is possible there and it´s the proof positive that wedding has something in common with love and not with your age! We had the opportunity to photograph the Ceremony at the beach of Cathy & Lee on Valentines Day. A very emotional wedding and I was so glad to be a part of it.

To honor our American friends I start posting in English first

After 2 months of beeing in Orlando, Florida and meeting so much new friends one of our highlights was to visit our friends from Studio 3Z in Cincinnati. But that´s not all! They gave me the opportunity to shoot the awesome wedding of Amy and Caleb on February 28th. It´s hard to fly to cold Cinicinnati from sunny Florida but it was worth it – really! Nach 2 Monaten Aufenthalt in Orlando, bei dem wir viele neue Freunde getroffen haben, ware ein Höhepunkt der Besuch unserer Freunde vom Studio 3Z in Cincinnati. Aber das war nicht alles! Sie gaben mir die Möglichkeit die phantastische Hochzeit von Amy und Caleb am 28. Februar gemeinsam zu fotografieren. Es ist hard vom sonnigen Florida ins fast 0 Grad kalte Cincinnati zu fliegen, aber es war es wert – wirklich! Sie haben schon einige Bilder auf ihrem Blog gepostet, also vergesst nicht vorbei zu schauen, einen Kommentar dort hinterlassen!!

Ich hoffe meine deutschen Leser verzeihen uns, dass wir das meiste in English geschrieben haben. Es ist schon etwas Besonderes bei all den vielen Hochzeiten in Deutschland auch mal ins Ausland zu reisen um dort zu fotografieren. Braucht man ein Studio? – Do you need a studio?

Oft vermutet man, dass tolle Portraits nur in einem Studio entstehen können. Wir haben kein Studio – ja und?

Egal ob die Natur, eine Stadt, eine kleine Ecke in einem Wohnzimer – überall lauern Locations oder sind Möglichkeiten tolle Fotos zu machen. Man muss “nur” das Licht sehen und es geschickt einsetzen.

Halten Sie es für möglich, dass man in diesem Klassenraum (es ist ein Klassenraum einer kleinen Gruppe in Orlando, bei der sich in den USA lebende Ausländer treffen um ihr English zu verbessern) ein eindringliches Portrait hinbekommen kann? Nein?

A very often thought is that stunning portraits could only be done in a studio. We don´t have one – but who cares?

Whether if it´s in the nature, in a city or a small spot in the living room – there are so much locations and opportunities to take good pictures. You only have to LOOK for the light and use it for your advantage.

Do you think it´s possible to take an insisting portrait in this classroom? No?
(by the way: it´s a classroom of a small group of in the US living foreign residents who meet to improve their English.)

Sorry, es hat ein wenig gedauert, dass wir mal wieder einen Eintrag für Euch haben. Wir haben aber fleißig hinter den Kulissen gearbeitet um Euch heute mitzuteilen, dass wir die Ehre haben am 27.2.09 zusammen mit unseren Freunden aus Cincinnati, Jess & Brett, die Hochzeit von Amy & Caleb in Cincinnati fotografieren zu dürfen. Es ist für uns eine ganz besondere Herausforderung dabei sein zu dürfen und es freut uns sogar noch mehr, dass wir es mit unseren Freunden zusammen machen werden. Wir haben letzte Woche über 1 Stunde zusammen telefoniert und es war schon sehr witzig. Wir werden sicher eine gute Zeit haben!

Sorry – it took a long time to update our blog. But we worked pretty busy behind the scenes to tell you today that we have the honor to shoot the wedding of Amy & Caleb together with our friends Jess & Brett from Cincinnati. It´s a really great challenge for us and it´s even more exciting for us to do this with the guys from Studio 3z.
We had a really cool 1 hour chat on the telephone last week and it will be really really a funny time!

Wir haben nun mal ein wenig Zeit gefunden um mal unsere Urlaubsfotos zu durchforsten. Dabei ist uns dieses Panorama aufgefallen, dass wir Euch nicht vorenthalten wollen. Es zeigt den Delicate Arch im Arches Nationalpark in Utah/USA zum Sonnenuntergang.

We had have a little time to check our vacation pitures and we looked at this panorama that we would like to share with you. It´s the Delicate Arch in the Arches NP in Utah/USA at the sunset.

Kamera gewonnen :-)

Na, das war ja eine nette Überraschung gestern.

Obwohl wir ja mehr in der People-Fotografie zu Hause sind, hat ein (bereits hier im Blog gepostetes) Bild einen Preis bei einem Fotowettbewerb des Magazins Computeruniverse gewonnen. Bei über 7000 Teilnehmern hat es das Bild auf den 7. Platz gebracht und damit haben wir eine Handtaschenkamera (Canon IXUS 80 IS) gewonnen.

Hier seht ihr die Galerie der Gewinner.

Und hier das erfolgreiche Foto, dass im Übrigen im Digicamclub auch schon mal das Monatsthema gewonnen hat.
