JA! Wir haben es getan Die meistgestellte Frage in Bezug auf unsere Hochzeit war: “Wer macht eigentlich EURE Hochzeitsfotos?” Wir waren froh, die richtige Entscheidung getroffen zu haben und unseren geschätzten Kollegen Matthias Richter mit auf die Insel nach Anna Maria Island in Florida genommen zu haben. Eine wunderbare Location, ein traumhafter Ort mit viel Sonne waren genau das, was wir uns gewünscht hatten, wenn man im November heiratet. Matthias hat uns eine wunderbare Reportage erstellt. Ihr könnt sie in der Galerie bei ihm sehen, oder aktuell auch einige Fotos im Blog. Danke an Dich Matthias und auch an Deine Frau, dass Ihr für uns diese tollen Momente festgehalten habt!!!

Natürlich konnten wir es uns nicht nehmen lassen auch selbst ein paar Fotos zu machen, nachdem wir 2 Tage nach der Hochzeit noch mal mit Matthias los waren. Zusammen mit den weltbesten Freunden und Trauzeugen Andrea & André sind wir anschließend noch mal über die Insel gefahren und haben Portraits gemacht. André machte einen guten Job am Auslöser der Kamera, die auf ein Stativ gestellt war.

Sanne´s Kleid wurde von Rike Winterberg designed. Falls Ihr in Hannover seid besucht unbedingt ihren neuen Shop in der Altstadt!

YES I DO! We did it The most asked question regarding our wedding was:”Who will take YOUR wedding pictures?” We were glad to made the right decision and took our greatly appreciated colleague Matthias Richter with us to Anna Maria Island in Florida. A wonderful location an awesome place with lot of sun was that what we wanted to get meried in November. Matthias did a gret coverage of our wedding. You can watch it in his gallery or now on his blog. Thanks to you and your wife that you captured this really great moments for us!

Certainly we couldn´t resist to take some pictures of our own after we did some pictures with Matthias 2 days after the wedding. Togehter with the world´s best friends Andrea (also the bridesmaid) and André (the best man) we drove arounf the island and captured some portaits. We had so much fun out there! André did a great job on pressing the shutter of my camera which was mounted on a tripod.

Sanne´s dress was designed by Rike Winterberg. If you´re in Hannover you have to visit her new store!

An dem meistgefragten Hochzeitstermin in 2009 fand die Hochzeit von Astrid und Simon statt. Dort fühlen wir uns schon fast als Teil der Familie. Wir haben die Hochzeit von Simons Onkel in diesem Jahr auch schon begleitet. Die freie Trauung fand unter freiem Himmel beim Tanzhaus Hannover direkt am Mittellandkanal statt. Das Wetter war hervorragend und die Trauung war ebenso wie die von Sarina und Sebastian sehr speziell und einzigartig. Das “getting ready” haben wir vorher auch festgehalten und einige sehr witzige Momente gehabt. Die Portraitfotos entstanden dann in Hannover. Wer erkennt die Location?

The wedding of Astrid and Simon took place at the most wanted wedding date in 2009. It was so familiar to be there because we photographed also the wedding of Simon´s uncle this year. Die free open air ceremony was held at the Tanzhaus Hannover. The weather was great and the ceremony was also special and unique as the one of Sarina und Sebastian two weeks earlier. We also shot the “getting ready” with some funny moments. The portraits were also taken in Hannover. Any idea where the location was?

Hochzeit & Taufe in Beverungen-Dalhausen und Fürstenberg

In Dalhausen habe ich 5 Jahre lang Fussball gespielt und ich war froh nach vielen Jahren mal wieder dorthin zurückzukehren. Janet & Markus hatten nach tagelangem Mistwetter mal Sonneschein mit mir vereinbart und wir hatten das Glück. Der eigentliche Sonnenschein an diesem Tage war aber die kleine Marlene, die während der Zeremonie getauft wurde.

I played soccer in Dalhausen for five years in the 90ies and I was glad to be back after years. Janet & Markus and I arranged (after a couple of rainy days) sunshine for that day and we had luck. But the main sunshine was the little Marlene who was baptized during the ceremony.

Workshop in Hamburg mit Mike Larson

Ab und an bildet man sich auch als Fotograf weiter um neue Inspiration zu bekommen. Gestern habe ich einen Workshop mit Mike Larson in Hamburg besucht. Mike ist einer der Top-Hochzeitsfotografen in den USA. Seit knapp 5 Jahren verfolge ich seine Arbeit und war sehr froh, ihn gestern einmal live erleben zu können. Very charming
Ebenso war ich erfreut einen sehr geschätzen Kollegen der German Wedding Artists, Matthias Richter, zu treffen. Er fotografiert Hochzeiten ebenso leidenschaftlich wie ich das mache und daher war es eine viel zu kurze Begegnung. Gefreut habe ich mich auch über Andreas Langensee. Er fotografiert in diesem Jahr eine Hochzeit für mich in Hannover, bei der ich terminlich belegt war.

Sometimes you have to study further to get new inspiration. Yesterday I visited a workshop with Mike Larson in Hamburg. Mike is one of the top Weding photographers in the US. I follow his work for almost 5 years now and it was a really great experience to meet him live. Very charming boy
It was also a very great pleasure to meet a colleague from the German Wedding Artists, Matthias Richter. He is also a passionated wedding photographer as me and it was really a too short get together. It was also great to meet Andreas Langensee. He is going to photograph a Wedding for me in Hanover this year b/c I was already booked.

Strand-Hochzeit in Key West, Florida – Beach wedding in Key West, Florida

Amerika – Land der unbegrenzten Möglichkeiten!
Kaum ein Ort bestätigt das so wie Key West in Florida. Alles ist möglich und es ist der Beweis dafür, das Heiraten mit der Liebe zu tun hat und nicht mit dem Alter!
Wir hatten die Möglicheit am Valentinstag am Strand von Key West die Zeremonie von Cathy & Lee zu fotografieren. Eine sehr emotionale Hochzeit und ich war froh dabei sein zu dürfen.

America – The land of opportunity!
Not many other city than Key West in Florida confirm that. Everything is possible there and it´s the proof positive that wedding has something in common with love and not with your age! We had the opportunity to photograph the Ceremony at the beach of Cathy & Lee on Valentines Day. A very emotional wedding and I was so glad to be a part of it.

To honor our American friends I start posting in English first

After 2 months of beeing in Orlando, Florida and meeting so much new friends one of our highlights was to visit our friends from Studio 3Z in Cincinnati. But that´s not all! They gave me the opportunity to shoot the awesome wedding of Amy and Caleb on February 28th. It´s hard to fly to cold Cinicinnati from sunny Florida but it was worth it – really! They put some of their images on their blog, so don´t miss to check them out also and leave a comment!!

Nach 2 Monaten Aufenthalt in Orlando, bei dem wir viele neue Freunde getroffen haben, ware ein Höhepunkt der Besuch unserer Freunde vom Studio 3Z in Cincinnati. Aber das war nicht alles! Sie gaben mir die Möglichkeit die phantastische Hochzeit von Amy und Caleb am 28. Februar gemeinsam zu fotografieren. Es ist hard vom sonnigen Florida ins fast 0 Grad kalte Cincinnati zu fliegen, aber es war es wert – wirklich! Sie haben schon einige Bilder auf ihrem Blog gepostet, also vergesst nicht vorbei zu schauen, einen Kommentar dort hinterlassen!!

Es ist schon etwas Besonderes bei all den vielen Hochzeiten in Deutschland auch mal ins Ausland zu reisen um dort zu fotografieren. Sorry, es hat ein wenig gedauert, dass wir mal wieder einen Eintrag für Euch haben. Wir haben aber fleißig hinter den Kulissen gearbeitet um Euch heute mitzuteilen, dass wir die Ehre haben am 27.2.09 zusammen mit unseren Freunden aus Cincinnati, Jess & Brett, die Hochzeit von Amy & Caleb in Cincinnati fotografieren zu dürfen. Es ist für uns eine ganz besondere Herausforderung dabei sein zu dürfen und es freut uns sogar noch mehr, dass wir es mit unseren Freunden zusammen machen werden. Wir haben letzte Woche über 1 Stunde zusammen telefoniert und es war schon sehr witzig. Wir werden sicher eine gute Zeit haben!

Sorry – it took a long time to update our blog. But we worked pretty busy behind the scenes to tell you today that we have the honor to shoot the wedding of Amy & Caleb together with our friends Jess & Brett from Cincinnati. It´s a really great challenge for us and it´s even more exciting for us to do this with the guys from Studio 3z.
We had a really cool 1 hour chat on the telephone last week and it will be really really a funny time!

Auch wir holen uns Inspiration. Natürlich!
Durch Zufall sind wir letzte Woche auf eine Seite eines sehr netten Paares aus der USA gestoßen (Studio 3Z Photography). Sie fotografieren ebenso wie wir in einem Team. Die Aufnahmen der Hochzeiten und Engagements, sowie die süßen Fotos der Kids finden wir sind einen Besuch wert.
